Camping Areas
Wolseley boasts a beautiful setting for each traveller that decides to stop in our community.
With the sixties, came an ever increasing number of travellers and vactioners requiring rest stops and overnight accomodations. In 1969, Bill(Armand) Langlois purchased the former beauty spot locally knowns as the CPR gardens and oped the Sleepy Hollow Campground and Picinic area. The picnic area encompassed the top of the hollow where the tourist booth and the Wolseley Esso Station are now situated.
The campground enjoyed a brisk business with travellers from the U.S. and nearly all points in Canada. Later the main entrance was moved to the west end of the park. The Langlois family sold the campground to Art Lutz and Randy Nyiri.
